Carina Glover was knocked out in her first round of entrepreneurship back in 2013. Inexperience and pride made her turn down every brand partnership opportunity that was presented when preparing for the launch of her event planning business. It backfired with consequences of embarrassment and devastation. The launch party ended with Carina crying on the bathroom floor of the empty venue. No one showed up. She learned several lessons, most importantly the value of brand partnerships, and never made that mistake again. While she eventually grew that business into a success, later working with the Grammys, NFL Honors Awards, and other prominent clients and experiences, she traded it all in for HerHeadquarters. A seed had been planted on that bathroom floor. Years later, it blossomed into her vision that would revolutionize how women-owned businesses discover, secure, and manage brand partnerships. Throughout this journey, Carina has led HerHeadquarters to become a venture-backed company and her work has led to accolades from the United States Congress, American Express, and Forbes.
